According to Circular No. 01/2021/TT-BTTTT, GPS location devices must make a certificate regulation (Conformity Announcement) under the management of the Ministry of Information and Communications.
Import procedures to Viet Nam as follows:
Step 1: Register for Quality Inspection at the Department of Telecommunications – Ministry of Information and Communication
Step 2: Submit a set of customs clearance, including the following documents:
+ Application for quality inspection at the Department of Telecommunications
+ Packing List
+ Commercial Invoice
+ Bill of lading
+ Certificate of origin (In case the importer wants to enjoy special preferential import tax)
+ Other documents, technical documents (if any)
– Step 3. Do customs clearance procedures and bring goods to the warehouse
– Step 4. Send product samples + Customs documents to units with inspection function: Quatest 1,2,3; Vinacontrol… to get inspection results
– Step 5. Submit the inspection results to the Department of Telecommunications, receive the results of Announcement of Conformity.
