Agricultural products are one of the most exported commodities of Vietnam, mostly fruit, vegetable, dried food like noodles. This article will give some remarks about exporting agricultural cargo.
Selecting an Appropriate Export Market
+ Determine whether the importing country allows importing such cargo. Each country (Including Vietnam) has a list of agricultural product that is forbidden or having some kind of restriction, knowing which cargo can be imported is the 1st step to choose the suitable market
+ Vietnam also have restriction for some kind of agricultural product, for example, rice can be only exported under the quota provided by ministry of industry and trade.
Other Important Considerations
Some markets have stricter requirement for import including but not limited to:
+ Phytosanitary certificate requirement
+ Irradiation treatment to sterilize the cargo
+ The Original farm/orchard must meet the standard.
+ Inspection of herbicide and pesticide residue in food
+ For reefer cargo, all procedures above, and customs, loading… Must be completed in time to avoid damages/deterioration to the cargo, affecting the overall quality of the shipment.
+ Health certificate of the product (provide by ministry of health)
+ Quarantine certificate cargo and vessel
+ Certificate of quality
