Automated Manifest System is a declaration system that controls goods transported by all methods of import and export. One shipment that exports into a country must be controlled by customs of those countries.
Each shipment will have to declare information before being imported into the countries according to the regulations of each country. The name of this form can be listed below:
+ AMS : Declare the shipment exports to US,
+ ACI: Declare the shipment exports to Canada
+ AFS: Declare the shipment exports to China
+ AFR : Declare the shipment exports to Japan
+ ENS: Declare the shipment exports to Euro
+ ANB: Declare the shipment to export to Asian countries
1. AMS fee: 25-35USD/BL, 30-40 USD/BL
2. Objects of declaration: All shipments will be imported or transited through ports into the above countries. Forwarder or booking agent will declare AMS, ACI, AFS, AFR, ENS, ANB for HBL if the exporter hires this service at Forwarder/Logistics companies.
3. To declare shipments exported into countries, FWD or Booking Agent must register an ID to declare.
4. Declared information includes:
– Name, address, phone number, country code of the shipper, the consignee, the notify Party on the bill of lading
– Names of goods are detailed and specific, do not show generic names
– The first 06 characters of the HS code of the goods code
– Number of bales/Bale code number
– Cargo volume (GW)
– Measurement or Volume in units of CBM
– Container number/Seal number
– UN number and IMDG code of the goods if any
5. Time of declaration: At least 24 hours before the goods are loaded onto the ship, the Customs must receive this declaration information.
6. The penalty for not declaring AMS is up to 5000 USD and affects the company’s export to the market in the future.
